Adventure Sunday: Powers Lookout {October}

We set off for Powers Lookout later in the morning and figured that we would just stop and get some chips on the way.

We are so lucky to have such a beautiful place only around 45 minutes from home.  I had visited with Ethan earlier but was looking forward to us all heading up together.  It was interesting to learn about the bushranger's from this area, although a little strange that due to it being such a big pull for tourism it almost feels like they are glorified even though they were criminals.

The view from the first platform overlooking the King Valley.  There is no walk to this so it is accessible to everyone.  Such a beautiful piece of the world...

 To get to the second viewing platform you need to go on a little walk.  We had seen a snake on the road on the drive in so we were very cautious as we went...

I thought this was a good quote for the picture...

We saw this cute little guy...

The second viewing platform...

The boys loved climbing over the rocks and exploring...

There was  third walk none of us had been on, this headed down to Power's waterhole which Harry Power relied on for his water...

Ethan enjoyed posing for photos all day long.  I love it when the boys are in the mood for happy snaps!

Another great family day.  It's not always easy to co-ordinate everyone and to even feel like heading out sometimes.  Even though I record the fun of these days there are still plenty of tantrums and fighting and grumpiness. What I know though, is that it's always worth it...
